TxDOT TO HOLD BUSINESS 20 TRAFFIC STUDY OPEN HOUSE

The TxDOT Odessa District, with the assistance of Lee Engineering, LLC, is performing a study of traffic operations and safety along the Business IH 20 (BI 20) corridor from 8th Street in the City of Odessa to Midkiff Road in the City of Midland.  The purpose of this study is to identify short-term and long-term improvements to address the operational and safety issues which currently exist along the BI 20 corridor.

TxDOT is holding a public forum to discuss this study and the BI 20 corridor.  At this third and final of three public forums, Lee Engineering, TxDOT Odessa District’s consultant in charge of the project, will present proposed short-term and long-term recommendations to improve safety and operations along the corridor.   These recommendations include modified access to businesses along the BI 20 corridor, and changes to median opening locations.  After the presentation, representatives from TxDOT and Lee Engineering will be available for discussion.
